Bulgarian Wine House is a means of travel, with which you immerse yourself in the eternal story of wine production —a legacy written and passed down for centuries. This home of Bulgarian wine in a distant country, is built from my desire to learn and tell you the story of our generous land. Under this roof you will find an abundant collection of grape varietals grounded effortlessly within its diverse terrains, temperatures and altitudes. You’ll learn stories of the people who nurture it.

Vision

This project embodies a quest for the purest expression of our land, an exploration of its rich history, and a deep connection to its soul. Our journey seeks the creation of a bold, unadulterated wine—a new chapter written each year, woven from the unique conditions of the vintage and its terroir. Simplicity guides our path, as we follow winemakers who possess a distinct touch. The common thread among our vineyards is the unwavering passion of those who tend to the earth and harvest the finest grapes. Their craft transforms these grapes into wines that embody the very essence of the regions they hail from.

What Sets Us Apart

Bulgaria, often a hidden gem in the world of wine, boasts a unique terroir and grape diversity that set it apart from its peers. The Thracians, with evidence of winemaking dating back to 4000 BC, contributes to the richness of our heritage. The Bulgarian respects and honors wine on an equal footing with bread. The main livelihood is viticulture and winemaking, and local cellars produce wines known throughout the Roman Empire. After a severe economic decline, a revival in Bulgarian winemaking has occurred, driven by a new generation of winemakers who focus on quality and indigenous grape varieties. Old vines, with over half of them aged over thirty years, bestow our wines with an unmatched complexity and depth.
